The brief and objectives:

In Hakunila, Vantaa, rises a beautiful high-rise where apartments are compact, for 1-2 people. Because of the new design solutions, the apartments are affordable and offer relief to the challenging housing shortage in the metropolitan area. Our goal was to design compact town homes, which complies with the needs of the inhabitants through flexible and spacious floor plans.

Bursting with modern solutions:

Harmonic window openings bring a touch of classic stone houses unpretentious clarity. In most of the homes the views open in two directions. French balcony extends the homes. High-class sauna department is in connection with the club space and rooftop terraces are available for all inhabitants. Kitchens and bathrooms of the apartments are compact and functional. Two-room apartments have sliding and folding doors which can be used to separate the bedroom. If desired, the apartments can be used as one large space.

Through the eyes of the designer:

"The features comes from clear and timeless architecture and modern open space design. Views open in to two directions, which on the upper floors reach over the neighborhood. The white tower of the building becomes a landmark of the area. The building is built to withstand time through its appearance and the structure." - Tiina Antinoja
