Architectural designing is a line of work with a lot of responsibility. We create the settings of people's lives, and the environment for joyful everyday living and celebration. I get inspired by the possibility to change the world for the better. In this work one gets to use his passion to benefit others. I believe that, when I do my best, it gets back to me in one way or the other. The ingredients for my passion are big dreams and small steps towards the success.

I believe in the absolute excellency of people. I enjoy connecting professionals with each other, and thrive to construct the ground, where success can be achieved. I love to see people succeed and getting higher towards their goals. Architecture as I see it, is a privilege that belongs to all.

Kanttia 2 office suits me, because it’s fresh and looks always for new ways to do things. The planning and designing are done through very comprehensive problem solving. Bold ideas are encouraged, and I enjoy working with different projects that can vary from urban planning to details of individual furniture.

One of my greatest sources of inspiration is the Finnish nature in the winter time. Modern residential areas arouse positive feelings in me. In my opinion Kanttia 2 is a great team of talented and skilled people. We are brave to do new things and are eager to develop. I want to find solutions that work and look good. It’s important in designing process to think solutions through the eyes of the individual user. It’s not enough for me, that the plans look neat on the paper. They have to work in the real life too.

I get inspired by everything new and unknown, and at the same time old, familiar and safe. I’m interested both in history and the future. I’m fascinated by Kanttia2, because we set high targets and share same ideals. With my work I want to always achieve something new and learn more about design and construction. A man is never completely ready. That’s why there is always a possibility to develop.

I want to keep changing and renewing. Reaching a destination or just standing on ones feet are not interesting options for me. To be on a journey demands determined and systematic progressing, adapting to new experiences, accumulation of new skills, and a right amount of ability to question the usual solutions. Those are the ingredients that I need for reaching milestones which can for example be finished building drawings. As a process the construction of a building is very exciting and educational: In a beautiful plan all the contacting surfaces and details that affect each other are solved in a way, that the design plan is coherent on its every aspect. The construction process itself with the design work is succeeded when done thoroughly and with care. The spirit in the office is open, equal and encouraging.

I love working at Kanttia2 because it's not just an architecture office. I feel that it’s a more like a home for a strong team of professionals who are guided by high standards and strong beliefs in good design. Kanttia2 pushes the boundaries further every day to make this world better. It also gives me amazing opportunities: interesting projects, developing myself as a professional and ability to enjoy life! 

As I see it, it's important to get the interior design to match the architectural language. It requires an ability to create solutions that satisfy demands of aesthetics and function. Timeless, durable and easy-to-use design means a lot to me. Seen this way, I am an admirer of the original functionalism and the modern movement.

Tangible details demand good materials and shapes, where lines demand clarity and diversity. One has to think solutions "out of the box" and find out what atmosphere, sense of quality and coziness are made of. A human being notices these aspects in a built environment often subconsciously. When starting a construction, it is a waste of time and money to do it inadequately.

Present-day architects work together to find solutions to customer needs. Shared insights are the key to better achievement. I want to create buildings that stand the test of time in three ways: structurally, visually and practically. I always aim to high-class results, which are also beautiful and creates positive feelings. Many times the beauty lies in simplicity and clarity. I don't need any specific circumstances to get inspired, because inspiration can be found anywhere. Often I find inspiration in the nature.

I'm interested in the diversity of aspects in architecture, where the best solution can be found in the interaction between them. My goal is to create solutions which are ecologically and economically justified and make better environment possible. I want to design environments for quality living.

We have a wonderful atmosphere in our team. It allows us to come to work as we are. I think that is why we work so well as a team. Everyone is an important part of the whole: we all have different strengths, so there’s always an opportunity to develop and learn from each other. Challenges are opportunities to create something special and progress as a designer. I build my work through chromatology, modern design and curiosity. I believe everything around us affects us in very different ways, whether we notice it or not. I want to create spaces where people feel good both physically and mentally and I do it by considering every single detail from clean air to ergonomics. 

"You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete." said an architect Buckminster Fuller. When the inspiration strikes things fall into place. I carry a notebook with me wherever I go and sketch the ideas and images which pop into my mind. The notebook fills up with creative potential, which I can use later in my work.

Design is everywhere. You just have to open your eyes to the world and see what other people have already designed for you. I admire Kanttia 2's constant search for solutions about how to reach a better ratio between quality, time and costs. As I see it, the main purpose of design is to make people happier every day. It is challenging and sometimes extremely hard but without our work, the world would be a much duller place to live.

I want to create cozy, beautiful and durable environments with my work. I get inspired by beauty, that I can find anywhere around me. In the Kanttia 2 everything is in place, values, attitudes and possibilities.

In my work I want to design environments for living, which foster people to health-promoting way of life. At best the regions are felt attractive by the inhabitants, and offer natural ways of being active in the community. Architect has a demanding job, because there are various interests to fit together in a plan. I have succeeded, when all the sides are happy. In Kanttia 2 office the targets are set in long time perspective. In the heart of design is responsibility and a vision that the environment we build needs to last high-quality also for the next generations.

I find good environment and efficient, aesthetically pleasing buildings important, as do all architects, of course. Visually good looking buildings are easy to achieve, but there has to be something more within.
A distinguishable character, a flavor that brings the building to life. Whether the building is good, is not defined by costs or surroundings, but by the efforts of an architect. One has to think outside the box.

Among other things, I get inspired by good and well-functioning architecture, nature and music. I want to work with creating new, better architecture. I find the thrive we have towards creating diverse range of projects and developing of new concepts, important. The relaxed and supportive atmosphere in our office is quite unique and special.

I get inspired by locations. The locations with its history and identity evoke ideas that intertwine with the needs created by the culture and people in that time and place. The concept of time is an important and often forgotten aspect in architecture. The idea that everything is always in change brings a new perspective to design.
The spaces can be designed to correspond easily with the demand of changes. Nature is one of my favorite sources of inspiration that I combine in nearly all of my work. Harmony, simplicity and natural materials are important to me.

I'm inspired by laughter, surprising situations and twists in everyday life and the contrasts of life in general. I love beauty, music, theater and my family. I feel inspired when a person believes in oneself and - whatever she does - does it out of joy and passion. And the best thing is that passion is contagious.

What I love about Kanttia2 is the curiosity for life, free thinking, respect for each and everyone, caring, courage, love and what if -thinking.

I want to be able to build environments which improve people's quality of life. My favourite environment is Kanttia2: its culture and people. I want to serve and give my share so that people can find new dimensions, skills and courage in order to fulfill their own and Kanttia2's customers' dreams.

I enjoy being able do my part in making people lives easier by designing them functional and cozy interiors. It’s important for me to create easy to use and durable spaces and environments. I appreciate durability both in materials and in timeless design. In order to succeed in the design process, one has to find out the real needs and hopes of the customer. It's always very inspiriting to see my own work completed!

As an interior designer I want to constantly learn new things and solve challenges with creativity. As a designer I'm more of a pencil 'n' paper sketcher than a computer wizard. I get inspired by colors, forms, light, music and art. As a counterbalance to fresh, neutral colors, I'm fascinated by deviant forms and daring use of colors.

Kanttia 2 is a great place to work because it gives you a possibility to use your capabilities. Kanttia 2 offers a base or a platform to create things you're truly interested in.

For me work is a way of life: it gives meaning for my existence. I want to create positive things for my fellow citizens - that gives me joy and happiness. 

The notable thing in the office is how well we all work together. We have a wide range of knowledge, and the help is always near. Good co-operation and exchange of thoughts enhances the work quality of everyone. I enjoy the variety of tasks. The scale changes from small interior design tasks to designing of public facilities. Whatever the task is, I set my targets very ambitiously.
