The brief and objectives:
House Mäkiniemi, i.e. Milo, is a house built in Metsokangas, Oulu. The building was finished in the fall 2007 and the garden plan was executed in the spring 2008.
Inspiration from a limber cat:
The building took exemplar from a limber cat, which stretches in the sun. The back side of the building forms a private back yard, while the open and bright facade opens on the other side.
Through the eyes of the designer:
We are proud of the House Milo, as it was also featured in the book, Oulu Architecture 2008. The book was published by the Construction department of Oulu City.
